★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I bought a pair of air pods during the last lock down from the store. The sales rep was rude and on a bad day the air pods take up to half an hour to connect to my Bluetooth. On a good day maybe 5mins if I'm lucky. I will never shop at PBT tech again, this isn't the first time I've received bad products.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fun shop - lots of toys at reasonable prices. They do have sales but you might only get 5-10% off (unless they're getting rid of end stock) so you might as well not wait. The staff can be a bit abrupt but treat that as efficient rather than rude.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff are unhelpful if you don't know what your looking for. If you ever have an issue with a product there is a good change they will pull every reason out of ... to not resolve the matter. e.g. telling you to apply for RA online, so you must jump through more hoops, rather than helping there and then in the store. They are also very quick to suggest an issue is the customers fault, or the issue is the customer not the product. Too bad NZ doesn't have other stores with wide selection.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible service. Ageist staff who will look down on you if you look young. Will not be helpful and dismissive if you want to purchase a product.
I asked to purchase a product and he said there was no stock, I asked if he could check other branches in Auckland and he also lied and said there was no stock in Auckland even though the website showed plenty all throughout Auckland branches. I showed him the model I wanted on my phone and he was very adamant that it was sold out everywhere. My mother goes in and gets served by the same sales assistant within 24hrs and she had no issues. He sold it to her promptly. When she asked about the encounter I had with him, he LIED and said I asked for a different product instead. He said I must have got the product wrong and that he was "being bad" and could have helped. He identified me as the "young girl" and knew exactly the dismissive service he had for me when he admitted that he was being "bad". However, no apologies from him were given to my mother, just excuses that it was my fault.
Waste of time and money coming to CBD.
You're better off spending the extra money at a competitor's shop as you'll definitely save on time, money and headache chasing down the product you want while being served by a sales assistant who isn't a liar.
