β β β β β I took my "old" dell when it died and Jason diagnosed a power suply failure. He tried everything to get a replacement but failed - "discontinued line" Nevertheless his efforts were excellent. He even loaned me an enclosure to read my hard drive when none were available in NZ. I'd go back again.

β β β β β I've had Jason complete upgrades on PCs and fix multiple screens on ipads etc (we must be more careful!) over the years. No fuss, great service. Remembers your name, which is always nice. On time. Recommended for good advise and local service.

β β β β β Jason always gives clear advice. He is an upfront type person - honest and frank, and I see in other reviews that his 'style' may not be to everyone's liking. He gave me good quotes, was accurate about the time it was likely to take, and excellent advice- just for those who may like to know; he has gone to extraordinary lengths to help several disabled people putting in services and helping with internet. He is also a passionate animal lover and dog rescuer - so that makes him a person I would support!

β β β β β I sent 4x emails to Jason chasing him to make initial contact. He did not give me any heads up of a minimum call out fee (apparently I was supposed to just know this) and when I queried his invoice for 1 hour vs his 10 minute visit, he told me to go elsewhere next time and that I clearly have no idea of service charges. Although clearly knowledgeable, Jason was rude and has poor communication skills.

β β β β β Called with a broken charging port on my sonβs laptop. Got the feeling the person behind the counter was trying to complicate what was a very simple issueβ¦ am sure a lot of people could be mislead by this approach.
Anyway, he asked for the password, which I suggested wasnβt required, but he argued otherwise. Thought better of it and will seek another repair service.
I felt I was being mislead, or was getting set up to be mislead in the future. Plus, I never share passwords, and you definitely donβt need a password to validate a charging port is workingβ¦ I think possibly a dodgy guy, donβt get sucked in.
EDIT: Got the unit repaired somewhere else. That company didnβt start trying to bring the motherboard into scopeβ¦ they just fixed the USB port, and for a very reasonable price. Additionally, and importantly to me, they didnβt request the computerβs password to fix a trivial hardware issue. If you know nothing about computers, beware whom you put trust in, you could easily be misguided.
