As our name suggests we are all about Performance! Dedicated to assisting our clients with getting the most out of your pride and joy we offer a range of individualised packages to suit all needs and budgets. Our services are not limited to but include; exhaust upgrades, brake upgrades, suspension packages, air intake manifolds, turbo packages, supercharger packages, full ECU remapping and dyno tuning. The sky is the limit and you can be rest assured the suppliers we use provide product to the highest quality and standard and we back all their products 100%.
Jason Anderson has been working in the industry since 1994 initially starting his automotive career with Robertson Motors in Palmerston North. Wanting to get ahead in his chosen career has seen Jason end up working in Auckland for Giltrap Motors and Australia where he secured prestige roles working for both BMW and HSV. Jason also spent periods of time in Korea and the travelling around the United States where he contracted himself out building race engines for various Jet Ski customers.
Returning home to Palmerston North, Jason has spent the last chapter of his life working for his father at Warren Anderson Motors where he began to focus more on the performance work for customers in the later years. Realising there was a demand for this work and having already attracted a large customer base from around the North Island, Jason took the leap and opened Performance Industry in August 2017. Teaming up with top brands like XFORCE, X-Air, Capa Performance, Harrop and Liquid Moly Jason can now work more closely with our clients to ensure all jobs are completed solely by him and to his high standard.
Performance Industry is also the importer of Praga Karts New Zealand and ORG Racewear and carry stock in store for both brands to also accommodate all our motor racing and karting clients.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had my Holden VF SS Redline in for headers decat pipes and a Vcm3 Cam package and custom dyno tune and Transmission service at Performance Industry Palmerston north .
Car already had Xforce cat back system and Xair Otr.
What a transformation Jason has done with this car. Jason is very knowledgeable and knows his stuff .It has gone from being a tame lion to one angry lion. Jason has exceeded my expectations on every level with the car. Jason goes out of his way to make sure the customer is happy with the end result. He's very dedicated to his work and he will do very well with his bussiness.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took my 2007 commodore V8 in for an ECU dyno retune little over a week ago and have since done over 1000km.
Short story, This is not the cars first ECU tune. It was badly tuned before we bought the car, that tune was repaired after we bought the car (2016). This new tune is far superior and we found it offered far more benefits than we expected.
They not only fixed an O2 issue, but also minimised the 1800rpm Xforce exhaust drone (it was quite deafening), gear changes are smoother with our 6 speed auto, more power down low, drives more like it has a carby (no hesitation in power), quieter at 100km/h and better fuel economy.
Long story,
I only needed to have this done because the new exhaust headers and cats I had fitted myself, was causing O2 sensor issues, causing the engine light to come on.
For those with older cars like mine, keep in mind, your engine may have a fault which the factory tuned ECU may be hiding (not necessarily a good thing, fuel economy and performance may be low and you don't know). For me, I myself diagnosed and replaced failing ignition system components that were not previously a known issue. I diagnosed the issue and completed the repairs because I can. Had I reported the issue to Jason, after the retune, I'm sure he would have been able to diagnose the issue and complete the repairs for me. This is not a case of "I tuned it, now it is magically broken and will cost lots to repair". The issue was intermittent and I recognised the symptoms.
Before I repaired the ignition system, the retune had provided more power AND better economy (assuming I didn't use the extra power). With the new coil packs, leads and plugs, its got even more power and better fuel economy.
This is a good thing, it shows the tune is able to squeeze more performance from the engine and its components, unfortunately exposing failing components (which would otherwise be unknown until they completely fail, meanwhile causing power and fuel economy loss) but also allowing it to function more efficiently (requiring everything to work correctly) and easier to drive.
Extremely happy with the service. I highly recommend them for ECU tuning. Coming from someone who has dealt with previous ECU tunes in this vehicle, these guys actually know what they're doing.

I had similar symptoms a year later but different problem a year later and they were able to find it with ease. I'd never take my car anywhere else. (Car is an Evo X).

I have found Jason a good chap he keeps you in the loop as to whats going on with the build and updates you with emails and photos which is a cool touch, have not been disappointed with the car when I get it back and look forward to to more upgrades with performance industry.
