About Performance Plus Physio -Five Cross Roads
Cherie joined our team at the beginning of 2021 and comes to us from Singapore. After high school, an opportunity for Cherie to work at a physiotherapy clinic presented itself and this inspired her to pursue continued education to become a physiotherapist. She completed her Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) at Auckland University of Technology (AUT) in 2020, during which time she gained a wide range of experiences in private practice, paediatric neurological rehabilitation at the Wilson Centre and older adult rehabilitation in the hospital setting. From her time at the Wilson Centre, she has developed a clinical interest in paediatric rehabilitation. She hopes to pursue further studies in paediatric (children’s) rehabilitation in the future and has a keen interest in working with youth.
Cherie is dedicated to providing efficient and effective physiotherapy to assist patients in achieving their goals, and improving their quality of life. She aims to enable patients via a combination of hands-on physiotherapy and exercise-based rehabilitation. As such, she is currently working to attain her Certificate in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy to improve her skills.
Outside of work, Cherie enjoys yoga, going for walks, spending time with family and friends, or just cozying up in bed for TV time.
