About Phoenix Urgent Doctors
Originally from the UK, I trained in Sussex in 1990 as a registered nurse. I worked mainy in the acute medical fields including gastroenterology and neurology. In 1997 I completed midwifery training at King’s College in London and worked as a midwife until moving to New Zealand in 2003 with my large family.
Having decided to return solely to nursing, my work life since living here has been rewarding and varied - from acute emergency care, practice nursing and school nursing to sexual health, women’s health and colposcopy. I have a strong and passionate interest in women’s health and providing equitable service provision to the community. I'm proud to work with a motivated, positive and incredibly skilled, patient-centred team.
Outside of work, I enjoy meeting up with all the ex-colleagues and great friends from my varied career.

The whole team was extremely helpful and everyone made me feel well looked after and cared for. Amanda went above and beyond to make sure I was OK and that I was going to make a full and speedy recovery. She made a frightening ordeal a lot less scary and for that I am so grateful! I just wish we had doctors like her up here in Mount Maunganui because I have never received such great care in my entire life anywhere else. Thank you!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As fate would have it our little girl got sick on the second last day of our holiday. We saw Dr Zoe early on a Sunday morning. She was simply awesome! So good with my six year old. Quick to run through symptoms, do her diagnostic checks and make a diagnoses. It was such a pleasure dealing with her. Wish she could be our regular doctor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had to take my adult daughter in for x rays for a 10 day old ankle injury. From the very first greeting, to the x Ray to the plastering, the treatment and courtesy shown were exceptional. Would highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went on a saturday due to urgent medical issue and could not fault the service, from reception to nurses and doctor on duty.
Special mention to Charlie the nurse, very funny and upbeat and nothing was too much trouble, same for Dr Grace Robinson she was very caring and professional. Might have to change surgery's.
