β β β β β Great friendly customer service. Setting up a fund was straightforward and didn't take very long. It's great to see my money being put to good use.

β β β β β I have been with the Pie Fund team for a few years now and find the experience worthwhile, the staff are so helpful and respond quickly, I have had to draw some funds out early in 2015 and it was no problem, I spent many years doing my own trading and still do a small amount but the Pie Fund takes allot of the doubt out of my trading. They even tell you what they are trading if you want to follow them yourself.

β β β β β So far, putting money with Pie Funds has been my worst investment choice in over 30 years of trading and investing. The big promotional slogan they present is:
"Make hay while the sun doesn't shine. We're set up to profit even if markets drop".
Well markets have dropped, and I am sure Pie Funds are well set up to profit from the drop, but its clients are not.
Aside from that it's easy to deposit money and set up an account. We'll see how easy it is to withdraw in the very near future. I give their level of client communications 5/10. The quality/experience of their senior investment team 5/10 - arguably I should have discovered this before investing. Several NZ and many Australian funds have done a much better job of protecting client losses than Pie Funds over the past quarter.
You have to question the real reason why they are binning performance fees in favour of flat annual fees. That way they are certainly 'set to profit even if markets drop', whilst losing the incentive to make profits for their investors.
