★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been here twice now and both times have experienced old oil with batter that is over cooked. Second time I arrived and the guy serving was clearly sick, he kept sniffing and coughing, often over the area where the food was being cooked. It’s our local but will be venturing further out next time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Exactly what I’d expect from fish and chips, was not disappointed. Tasty chips and plenty of options on the menu. They also let you pick fish out the window to be cooked as one of the options. Would highly recommend trying their grilled fish, very tasty. I do miss their deep fried mars bar.

The new owners are performing well, providing good quality food, always freshly prepared
They are always helpful and reliable for telephone orders. I would recommend Takapuna Fish Shop, especially if you enjoy fish & chips on a summer evening, with sea breezes and sand between your toes on Takapuna Beach, it's not more than a couple of hundred or so metres away.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My 1st time. Bad experience! Chips were reheated and American hotdog mushy! Partners Snapper ok but the tub of tartare sauce couldn’t get any smaller for the price!! Over priced for whole experience. Not a good look..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We tried TFS today with seeing it on the Fish and chips article, thoroughly enjoyed all we ordered snapper, seadog, scallops and potato fritters
All was perfect! Except for the smaller potatoes fritters I think they put in complimentary as they were not as good as the 2xbig ones I ordered, the smaller ones were not soft inside nor like the big ones so we didn't eat it ...but waste not we shared them to the birds
But everything else yum! Frankie loved the snapper biggy!
