★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a nice little DOC campground right on the eastern bays surf beach. Has toilets and coin operated hot showers. Downside is it is sandwiched between an active railway line (plus the state highway) and the beach. It is popular though and congested at peak holiday times.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an absolutely beautiful spot on the stunning East Coast. Fantastic for camping or even just a stop to enjoy the view. Would have loved to have spent more time there. The bathrooms are well maintained and very clean.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Train runs through the night, be warned if your in a tent it will sound like it’s going to run you over, awesome showers, fish and chips down the rd from the pub are superb

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give more stars, I would! $20 p/n for up to 2 adults and 2 kids. Every campground should have a reasonable price like that. Animals are also welcome. Lovely hot showers with great pressure, and nice clean toilets. Beach is beautiful, clean and superb for fishing. We even rescued a little blue penguin who was injured and in trouble. He is on the mend now. 100% will be back.
