About Pinehill School
Pinehill opened in January 1997 with a roll of 117 students and has grown to around 500. Our team of around 40 teachers and support staff take great pride in providing the best quality learning environment for our children.
The school site consists of up to 23 teaching classrooms, specialist music, and art rooms, a number of withdrawal teaching spaces and a hall fully equipped with sound and lighting facilities.
“The Pinehill Way” is our way of promoting the social values and expectations of our school.
Pinehill provides a wide range of cultural and sporting opportunities for children at all levels.
Netball, basketball, touch rugby and hockey are all played on a regular, competitive basis with other sports covered by field days.
We have active choirs, kapa haka and musical groups in the school. Each alternate year we have a production or music festival and an art exhibition to give talented students opportunities to present their learning in these areas.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I think Pinehill is the perfect primary school. I went to pinehill in 2018 and everyone helped me. I left Pinehill in 2019 because I was Year 6 but I enjoyed the learning and loved the place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We've had 3 kids in Pinehill, they have all done really well. Teachers are really professional, approachable and passionate. The Pinehill Way which is their ethos for how everyone should behave is very effective with generally very well behaved kids.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ School with a quite competitive environment...(at least of my experience compared to other primary schools ive been to in Auckland) studied there in the early 2000s and was predominantly surrounded by Korean students with Korean as their first language.. Physically, a very clean and colorful place with plenty of sports intergrated, including a weekly rotational schedule of 5 types of fitness (dancing, walking around borders of school premises etc.) Which were divided by housing groups accordingly. Mr Van Beusekom was the nicest, most considerate teacher ive ever come across in all of my school years, even australian lecturers from my university couldnt compare! ? Graduated in year 6 with the impression of a place full of energy and vibrancy?
