β β β β β Albany primary is a dangerously inept school, who not only do not contact parents regarding serious matters, but create ongoing issues for families. They do not seem to have a procedure for incident reports, and have minimal and ineffective communication. After going to a school recommended psychologist, and trying every avenue to get help for my son, who was very high functioning ASD, he was still treated with a bad attitude and was bullied by his teacher in front of the class, no help was forthcoming despite pleas on my behalf. They do not have an effective restorative system in place, which is well behind all good practice in current education.There does not seem to be a process for helping children with special needs, except for trying to blame the families, and all of my older son's friends who moved up to junior with him, HATED their time at primary. Upper harbour is better.
