★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Simple, quiet and out of the way. Has a nice bush walk (it crosses a steam a few times, and rocks can be slippery). Basic long drop, with water available (must be boiled before use)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ $8 for 1 night for 1 person.
What an awesome spot 4o fet away from ths hustle ans bustle of the city life. Was nice to hear yhe native birdsong and a baby hedgehog wandering around also spotted a wallaby. Well worth the visit. Has two long drops but no horrible odours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very quiet, in a random place and not exactly near the beaten track. Facilities virtually non existent (water tap and some picnic tables). Very very cold here when i stayed. Peaceful though. Stars on a clear night spectacular. Unsealed road on the drive in. No ranger in sight when i stayed here. One very short walk (to the hill adjacent) nearby - unremarkable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A basic Department of Conservation campsite water from a stream and long drop toilets are the only facilities. Google listing as serviced accommodation is totally wrong. Great secluded bush spot in rural South Canterbury with a couple of short tramps from the camp site.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely and quiet although access is across a ford, so limits vehicles. Good hiking from the campsite. Long drop toilet plus wash basin - no drinking water. Dog friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you like the Peel Forest walks this is good for the not so sure footed and other than a couple of places a nice easy walk. It is through lots of great bush that has lots of under growth now that it appears the imported roos from Australia have been controlled.
The track is easy to follow and the essential parts marked with yellow triangles.
The area has a lot of places to camp and trails for motorcycles for the young at heart.
The only downside is the shingle dusty road to get there. (More washing of the vehicle required)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My family enjoy this campsite very much. It located next to the stream and surrounded by the forest. When you woke up in the early morning the animals sound is really active and so interesting. There is no internet or phone connection here. This campsite has toilet and water. If you want to drink the water you have to boil it first.
