I was privileged enough to be part of the latest Planet Chopper NZ tour. It is difficult to put into words how exceptional this tour was, so let me highlight the positives, from the outset it was incredibly easy to book and any queries I had were answered promptly & efficiently. The tour itself was incredibly well organized & we were all given the option of riding different bikes which was great.
The tour started in Auckland & covered both the North & South Islands. From the outset the scenery was unbelievably beautiful, & the accommodation & restaurants had been thoughtfully curated to highlight each stop. Each morning there was a detailed briefing which I found really helpful. The tour leaders Mark & Ben could not have been more helpful & their combined knowledge of NZ provided a bespoke ‘ behind the scenes ‘ insight into this amazing country. Although each day provided highlight/s, the singular most outstanding experience was a 4×4 tour of the Buster in Naseby. This is a huge conservation park which was once used by the miners in the 19th Century to dig for gold.
To describe the scenery as breathtaking is an understatement & seeing the tailings & the historic huts is something I will never forget. Our guides on this tour were outstanding, all locals with a plethora of knowledge & humorous anecdotes. This was completely off the beaten track, literally & I learnt that it was only through Mark’s personal contacts that we were able to avail ourselves of this remarkable experience. This was literally the trip of a lifetime for me & I recommend it highly. Don’t hesitate, book now.

β β β β β I did the Planet Chopper Kiwi Crusade Motorcycle tour which travelled from the North to the South Island of New Zealand. It was an incredible experience, we rode the famed Coromandel Loop, rode past Lake Taupo, partied in Wellington, caught the ferry through the beautiful Marlborough Sounds and went to the Burt Munro Challenge. Awesome organisation by the Planet Chopper team, best way to experience New Zealand by motorcycle!

β β β β β We got set up on a self-guided tour at the last minute, our rides were a late model Triumph Bobber Black and a customised Honda Fury. Both bikes were perfect for the wide range of roads New Zealand has on offer. In the North Island most of the roads are tight and weave through native forest while in the South Island there are long sweeping corners and mountainous roads. All in all the riding was amazing, we ran into some rough weather down south but it didnβt stop us from enjoying the scenery. Accommodation, food and the GPS route were all top notch.

β β β β β The Kiwi Crusade Guided motorcycle tour is everything you want to see in New Zealand in 2 action packed weeks. The Planet Chopper team knows all the local spots for eating, where to stop for photos and the best pubs around, I will be back again next year - hopefully for longer this time, the self-guided tours sound great too!

β β β β β What can I say from the start to the end the whole trip was a blast , Ben and Mark and their support crew made the trip . These guys certainly did their home work on the accommodation and the routes to take to get the most out of seeing the country in a short time. When ask if my Lea and myself wanted to do it again next year I think before mark had finished the question we were saying yes. Thanks once again Ben and Mark and the Planet Chopper crew

β β β β β Ben and Mark took us just under 4,000 km's from Auckland right down to Invercargill to the Burt Munro 2021 Rally. It was an epic trip and what made it fun and memorable where the roads, the stops, motels and the people. We've made some great new friends, everyone we rode with was awesome and having a support crew on hand to help out in any issue is very reassuring. I'd highly recommend Planet Chopper for any touring, these guys are the genuine, real deal! Have book for 2022.
