★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were gifted the tasting menu GrabOne deal. From start to finish our meal and experience was wonderful. The staff was very courteous, and quick with taking away any finished courses and extremely helpful - quick to notice if we needed assistance (top up of juice or water). And the food was beyond delicious. Beautiful in presentation and extremely tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed each course (though the venison course looked better than it tasted for us). The ceviche and chicken dishes and cheesecake were especially show stoppers. And the grape juice was absolutely delightful - we each ordered two glasses! And even though each course on their own appeared petite, after six courses we were thoroughly stuffed. Such a beautiful location, very nice outlook of the rolling hills of Matakana. Really wonderful experience. We will be back for the hospitality and especially the grape juice :)

The presentation of the food is in itself appetizing and the food delicious. The wait staff are excellent; efficient, attentive and personable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We held a staff lunch there and it went very well. The venue is quiet and spacious, the staff friendly and helpful and the outdoor flow to the grounds is easy. We would happily go there again and if for a staff function probably check what games are available to enjoy on the lawns otherwise take our own.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would add six stars if I could. We were gifted a voucher for the degustation menu - and it was superb. Highlight was the venison, but all the dishes were delicious and the portions just right. The highlight of our weekend away. The service was great and the setting beautiful and relaxing. We will be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great meal & lovely spot. Lunch here after a morning at the matakana markets. We had artisan breads, Hapuka, pork belly, all amazing & great service too. We didn't book so were seated inside by the window. Good spot & less noisy than in the covered outdoor area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good food and wine in a beautiful and peaceful environment. Well deserves its rating as the best restaurant in the area. With its own cellar door you'll also have the chance to try a variety of wines as a very low price. Recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was very delicious, most notably the chocolate mousse. That is one of the best desserts I’ve had in my entire life. You must try it if you dine here. Also try the steak with mushroom sauce - very good! The staff was very nice, although we waited over 30 minutes between our entrees and mains. Between that and no outdoor seating the night we went, I’m giving 4 stars. But the food is certainly 5 stars!
