★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place to stop for a break to stretch the legs ? or take a swim in the Hutt River after a long drive ? from Wellington and continuing onto the Wairarapa.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice park. Pleasant surrounds. WRC don't care for it very well. Local idiots leave broken bottles and cans littered around, making it dangerous for kids and pets. I walk there most nights and have to keep an eye out for broken glass etc. So the dog doesn't get hurt.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful location on the western side of the Hutt River in Upper Hutt. Follow the trails south from Totara Park for an adventure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An underrated pleasant walk alongside the Hutt River between Moonshine and Totara Park Bridge. Great for walking the dog or MTB. The tracks are well formed and signposted for dummies. The only detraction is cars and trucks on the River Road in high traffic times

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful. Just like the Lord of the Eing book Pictures. Nothing to say it was in the movie but you can see it. Parking easy if you have 4wheel drive. Very holy lol not tar sealed but very pleasant and quiet.
