★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beware! We boarded our family chickens here for 7 weeks while we searched for a house and only got half of them back. Mum's 4 hyline hens were all less than a year old and in perfect health according to a vet just before we took them there. They had their own enclosure separate from other chickens at the boarding kennel. When we got them home a few days ago we realised 2 of the chickens weren't ours so they had been replaced with look alikes for reasons unknown. There was a dead chicken in a pen when we got there to pick them up and apparently it's "normal for chickens to die all the time", but not 2 of our 4 healthy young chickens when they come back obviously malnourished. One of our original chickens is missing an entire breast of feathers and 3 of the 4 are underweight. It is absolutely abhorrent that we were never contacted as to our chickens passing and they thought they could replace family pets whether they died or got swapped or for whatever reason. This will be going further.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We got our bantams and fertile eggs for our broody hen from Popular Pets. Ann is very nice and full of helpful advice which is much appreciated (first time having chicks). I absolutely recommend if you're looking to buy some chooks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Anne was lovely and helpful and the facilities where she raises the poultry were clean and tidy. Chickens I purchased are in excellent health and very well priced. She has some lovely heritage breeds - some quite rare :) I will definitely be going back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Popular Pets recently helped us move our two dogs over to Australia. Their services were absolutely amazing! Their communication and attendance made the entire process hassle free. We were also really impressed with their prices compared to other companies. Thank you so much again for getting our fur babies to us with such ease! Definitely recommend this company to anyone flying their pets out of nz!! A+++
