β β β β β What an amazing boat tour, right in our own backyard. Great for tourists and locals looking for something to do. Rachel was so informative and learnt so much I didn't know about the wildlife and history of Port Chalmers, Portobello and Otago Harbour. Totally recommended.

β β β β β We love that the ferry provides a useful service to the local Port community as well as catering to tourists. The staff are friendly, helpful and did their utmost to accommodate our needs, the boat is safe and stable and the commentary is enjoyable. Such an underrated trip and so much to see. We love it!

β β β β β I had a fantastic day out on the water today sailing from Carey's Bay over to Taiaroa Head and back. There was so much wildlife to watch and enjoy. It was a new and exciting experience to watch the albatrosses from the water as opposed to looking down on them from above at the colony. I'll definitely take visiting friends on this trip again. Great experience with the booking and confirmation process, updates were made by text, I felt in safe hands all the way.

β β β β β Such a great trip, Rachel is highly knowledgeable on the wildlife we saw which included four species of albatross, fur seals, shags, black swan and many more. Couldn't recommend this one more.

β β β β β Absolutely LOVED our two-hour wildlife cruise. We saw everything from seals and Otago shags to albatross. A once-in-a-lifetime experience. Absolutely brilliant. Rachel was a wonderful host and guide and to be able to see albatross, in the wild, sweeping over the waves - it was like a David Attenborough documentary come to life. Please, if you only ever do one thing in Dunedin, make it this. It's great for kids too! Rachel was great with our boy, and he's five.

β β β β β Great commentary by our knowledgeable skipper (although difficult to hear outside- recommend supplying headsets or something). Great view if the lighthouse and lots of wildlife - fur seals, various birds, and even a shy sealion. Highly recommend!

β β β β β Just a quick jaunt over to Portobello and back but loved the commentary around the wildlife and geological make up of the harbour. A great adventure for the family - definitely planning on doing the Quarantine Island trip (or the 2 hour Wildlife cruise) next time.
