About Poukawa School
Poukawa School students are lucky enough to have huge expertise on our staff with Whaea Kerri Sherrard contributing to our Kapa Haka group, encapsulating Te Ao Maori, Te Reo Maori me Tikanga Maori.
As part of the elective programmes, all students will be learning waiata, haka, kapa haka and this learning are the foundations of Te Reo and Tikanga, driving student success in this area.
In November we are going to partake in the annual Ngati Kahungunu Kapa Haka festival.
