β β β β β My family and myself barely got inside the door to look at a spa when we got the shock of our life when a huge German Shepherd (I don't know the breed but it looked something like that) came barking out of nowhere and was running from one end of the shop to where we were standing. All of us immediately were terrified as it was barking and running like it was about to attack us. I ran but my dad and mum stayed to tell it to stop but it kept coming. My 12 year old brother was absolutely scared when he hid around a corner but it still was coming for him. Only then did the owner come out and call for the dog. At no point did he say sorry for frightening us but rather gave us the impression that we were being really dramatic. I'm not a dog hater or anything but for a massive dog to be loose in a public shop is completely unacceptable and should never be allowed. And for the owner to not even apologize for this or ask if we are okay when he could clearly see we were all scared, makes me so mad! I've never written a review before and its a shame that my first one is negative, but when it comes to my family, I will not sit back and be quiet when this could happen again. I don't care if you call me dramatic, something needs to be done so it doesn't happen again.

β β β β β Located adjacent to Mitre10 whangaparaoa, Prestige Pools has lots of parking and usually lots of spa pool, accessories and chemicals for your spa. The owner has lots of experience to understand all your needs.

β β β β β The worst customer service I think I have ever experienced. Totally unprofessional. If you need a spa or parts, go to someone who appreciates and wants your business.

β β β β β Excellent customer service , nothing is a problem , we went into have a look at spa pools and made a purchase on the spot. Mike is very professional with lots of knowledge in his field, so this helped us make the right decision straight away. Very nice buying experience cheers Chris and Karen Kawau Island

β β β β β Mike McGurk is an untrustworthy salesperson and has poor customer service. We ordered a Spa Pool Lid in May 2019 and 4 months later, we were still waiting. We had to follow him up multiple times, and every time he had a different excuse.
Mike continuously blamed shipment delays and led is to wait longer. After 4 months, we just gave up and walked away.
I would be cautious if you are thinking of buying from Prestige Pools.
Edit Sep 19: During the 4 months, our spa was open to the elements caused engine damage which has cost us $1.2K to repair. In retrospect, it was silly to let him take the older lid without knowing when a replacement would arrive.

β β β β β I found the Mike less than helpful and incredibly rude, he swore at me and used the "f" word more than once and told me I am thick, while I may have needed help with using a new spa as I did not find the manual very helpful I do not consider myself thick have 1.5 Masters degrees and two Post Graduate Diploma, it is my hope that I will not have to see this person again and if you are considering buying a spa can I suggest you try somewhere else

β β β β β We purchased our first spa from Mike 6 years ago and it has run faultlessly and we are now upgrading to a new spa. We have found Mike fantastic to deal with - he really knows his stuff regarding spas and is always extremely helpful. The showroom has a great range of different spas and products on display to suit any kind of buyer.
