Proelectrical is a locally owned business and was founded in 1999 by Brent Jeffares and Dave Robottom.
Dave and Brent originally worked for the M.E.D. (Municipal Electricity Department) which covered all aspects of power transmission and general electrical work in the downtown Napier area. The company later took on multiple restructures and name changes (Bay City Power, HB Power Board and then ultimately Unison) Dave and Brent worked alongside each other as Technicians over the years until 1999 there was yet another restructure which the pair made the decision to start their own business opening the doors to Proelectrical in a small workshop in Onekawa a month or two later.
Proelectrical has worked alongside the local lines company’s and contracting companies to provide High Voltage cable testing and technical services. The company gained the electrical maintenance contract for the Napier City Council and still to this day provide preventative maintenance and technical services to the Napier City Council to ensure the water and wastewater systems continue to operate effectively and efficiently.
Brent has been involved in numerous housing subdivisions and builds providing smart and efficient electrical solutions, working alongside the clients and construction companies to deliver on time and on budget designs. Dave has been involved in many technical designs and implementation of telemetry and control systems throughout Hawke’s Bay and continues to provide his many skills to the company. Nowadays the company has taken on a staff member as a shareholder with a passion of continuing to provide the professional and quality services Proelectrical has to offer to its clients.
