Worked there during a working holiday visa year. Great culture in the Auckland office - atmosphere right the way through the day was high energy. Fantastic social aspect and you're made to feel welcome very quickly, so good for confident and quieter people. Realistic targets to hit and they give great bonus incentives. Importantly they also work very hard on their script, training and people management meaning you feel supported right from day one - even when things are tough. Great charity exposure and will make you feel like you're making a proper difference. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Great place to work. Awesome coworkers. I got travel a lot during the work and enjoyed the bonuses and rewards. If you know how to sell, this job is great and makes your life easy.

Aight, so posting this might get me fired but whatever. I can testify to the 2 other comments talking about the contract stuff. They advertise full time. Repeat FULL TIME and they give you a casual contract, contacting HR is emailing 3 different people who most likely will not respond to you at all. If you value your worth as a person dont apply for this job.

I have worked in customer service and sales for years and this is one of the most dishonest and unethical employers I have come across. Like a few reviews here, I was promised full time work and given a casual contract. Something I didn't sign up for. The work consists of cold calling angry people who do not want to sign up for these charities. PO have a target of 5 sign up for the first week of training which is very unrealistic considering the fact that you go straight to voice mail of you get sworn at by "donors" and hung up on which leads to severe mental health problems in the long term. This company is border line criminal with the way they obtain information. If you value work, and want to make a difference in the world, stay away from Public Outreach NZ entirely. It'll benefit you in the long term.

Great organization to accomplish your goals with! I love how willing they are to help you succeed, and I appreciate what they're doing to make the world a better place. When I worked for them, I was given full training and support. Yes, my goal as a charity ambassador was to ask for donations. That is how most independent politically-neutral charities are staying afloat these days. The amazing thing about raising money this way, is that I actually got to see where the funding was going. I was also able to meet our supporters every day, which restored my faith in humanity. For anyone considering on taking a job, I have to say that it requires more focus and determination to excel than what it appears like on the outside. If you're somebody who is social, who shows up for work on time, and who has a positive outlook on life, you'll be given proper recognition for your earnest work while making a tangible difference for communities affected by poverty, famine, and war. I've met several people who have personally been helped by the charity, or had a neighbor who received care, and that was all the validation I needed for the job. Yes, the contract was casual for me, but I worked there for 2 years with no issues, and even received support during the COVID-lockdowns. I also attended truly remarkable work functions around Christmas and made memories with my family at Public Outreach, which was much needed after lockdown in a new city. The team was amazing, compassionate, and high-achieving. My managers just wanted to help me reach my full potential.

Working at Public Outreach Aotearoa has changed my life! The every day job of being able to help people as well as an awesome team culture is really something special. The job has shown me many skills and awesome attributes that I can take with me into so many other jobs and adventures I may come across. Public Outreach is like no other, With endless opportunities in the company and being promoted within. If you ever get the chance to work at this great company I would definitely take the step to embark on the journey!!!

I got offered a position here at Public Outreach, to find out I was mislead. First of all, they are offering full time work. Which sounds great, however they ended up giving me a casual contract which is not what I signed up for. That should have been a red flag for me. Ended up having to contact HR, which is a good thing they have their email addresses. To try and get updates they call you from a burner number, so they are practically unobtainable unless it's by email. Two red flags. Their job adverts are so misleading for a charity company. Promising on what they can't deliver is also another red flag. NEVER apply here if you value your job. These people are scam artists and should not be trusted.
