★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not a good mountain biking trail. The trail doesn't make much sense and parts are a bog in winter so expect mud. I partly went there due to fond childhood memories on the farm with family that lived there before it became a public reserve.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice farm wouldnt recommend it as a walking trail for one reason no matter where you walk on the reserve there is poo everywhere . Relaxing and quite though better as a chill out spot far from hustle bustle of Auckland good place to destress .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Huge expanse of land near the airport. Has a toilet that is well maintained. A venue for equestrian events, but I've never actually seen one. I just come here to watch cows and sheep grazing, and get some peace and quiet (while ignoring the sound of planes landing/taking off lol).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decided to explore this farm park on a whim for a morning walk. Went in expecting a more interesting and well-posted track and was a bit disappointed. This space is definitely more suited to mountain-biking and horse-riding. Too exposed and hot at this time of year for walking unless early or late in the day. No access that we could find to waters edge and viewing platform was not accessible either. Underwhelmed.

The information on the council website states dogs are allowed on leash but there is a big No dogs sign at the entrance.
I called the council for them to clarify and all she could tell me was what I already knew from the website.
Even council doesn't know that dogs are apperently now prohibited.
Thanks for wasting my time puhinui reserve...
