β β β β β Very spacious cottage with fully equipped kitchen and super nice owner. Stunning views over Lake Pukaki in a absolutely peaceful remote location. Perfect place to recover and to ground yourself :-)

β β β β β Perfect getaway. Really charming old house located above lake Pukaki with a breathtaking view on the lake. There are two houses next to each other, we stayed in the first and probably larger one. The house is wooden, so it makes some noise at night, which is only the wood - there is no one else there ;)
Kitchen is a bit old but has everything u need. Living room is just amazing!!! There is no Wifi - just so you know. The house access to a beach at the lake about 8 min by foot. Can highly recommend to stay there!

β β β β β Stayed two nights at the cottage and wished I stayed a week. The peace and quiet is unbelievable. The cottage is excellent: as warm as you want to make it, furniture is classic with all amenities - including fresh coffee :-). The hosts are excellent - friendly, very responsive and happy to help.
In summary - The reality exceeds the predictions from the pictures and the superlatives.
We were hoping to view the dark-sky but unfortunately our stay was perfectly misaligned with the full moon cycle! A good excuse to come back again.
