★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most gorgeous chic country cottage. Beautifully appointed in an idyllic.setting. Great hosts. A hard to.beat place with magnificent views of Lake Benmore and Mt Aoraki and it's changing moods.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A well positioned, self contained cottage on Totara Peak farm. Decor was tastefully curated. Very quiet and very private. Beautiful sunrises over Lake Benmore and a scenic view of Mt Cook.
We needed rest and found the perfect spot at Quail Rest. Also enjoyed short distance journey to Mt Cook, Lake Ruataniwha and Twizel shops.
My highlight was walking just a short distance from the cottage down to the lake and being the only one swimming and sunbathing ... just me, my book, a picnic, and the ducks.
