This was a pleasant walk with very rewarding views up the top. Along the way you are educated by information boards detailing the history of the area. It has a mix of flat and climbing sections with a few switchbacks. The climbing sections are not too steep. witnessed people of all ages climbing it, in fact people do it as their daily run apparently. There are rest stops along the way for those who may need a bit more of a breather. At the top you get to see 360 views of Queenstown and the Remarkables as well as see the Basket of Dreams sculpture. You can choose to climb an additional (and kind of steep) 15 mins to the summit of Queenstown Hill for even more dramatic views. Definitely would recommend doing this if you have some time in Queenstown!

Makes for a great walk or run! You can still take amazing photos and see the Milky Way clearly, but with the ski field lit up and Queenstown lights, it takes out a lot of star gazing opportunities. Went up to take pictures of the Southern Lights and had a difficult time Getting past the lights in town(new to the camera)

Great views from the top, walk from Queenstown to summit is about an hour. Better to wear hiking boots as the gravel is slippery, especially on the last few steps down. If you go here for sunset it’s very dark on the way down.

Easy walk from Queenstown. Good place to see sunset. Hike is about 1 hour if you are slow hiker.

Great views can be had from the summit of Queenstown Hill. The walk up is nice and quiet if a little steep at times. There are a few information panels located along the track and there are a couple of pieces of art too including the basket of dreams located just below the summit.

A pretty hard walk to the summit, I would definitely recommend a good pair of hiking ? shoes and a bottle of water ? as it gets pretty steep in places , but it's definitely worth it for the views ??️
