The world is full of talented artists and designers. People that transform paints, oils, metals and clay into sculptures, jewellery, ceramics and works of art.
Quirky Fox works with a carefully curated selection of artists to bring these pieces from artist’s studios into your home. Regular exhibitions and new artists every month means there is always something different to see in-store or online.
Quirky Fox works with both local, national and international artists.
The Story of Quirky Fox...
When things got a bit messy in 2012, the owner of Quirky Fox, Vicki, decided to take a risk, quit her job and open her own business. Brave or mad we're not quite sure, only time will tell.
Sick of seeing the same thing in every shop, Quirky Fox set out to showcase something a little bit different. Starting with a mixture of independent artists and commercially produced items, the owner found working with independent artists and designers far more rewarding and challenging. With this in mind, Quirky Fox made the slow transition to just supporting independent artists and designers across various disciplines.
Showcasing both established and emerging creative talents, Quirky Fox invites both local and international artists to be part of its carefully curated range. Many of the international artists are exclusively stocked by Quirky Fox while emerging New Zealand talents are also encouraged to become part of the Quirky Fox family of artists and designers.
In 2019, Quirky Fox started to offer custom framing to complement the gallery. This is done in the gallery by the owner, Vicki, after completing several intensive framing workshops.
Quirky Fox continues to evolve and grow, we hope you will join us as we do.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Golly I wish I could give 10 stars to this cute and inspiring shop. Vicki is the best as we went in as ‘entry level’ purchasers and she could not have made the experience any better. So many ‘art’ shops have a kind of ‘snobbiness’ about them but not here. The place is full of fun, clever and exciting creations, all of which my husband and I were in awe of. Vicki could not have been more helpful. She was encouraging and fun to be around. We bought three pieces to start off our art journey.
