About Raglan Medical
Our team consists of 8 GPs, 8 nurses, a medical centre assistant, clinical pharmacist, dietitian and 8 administration staff. The practice serves a rural population of 5,800 patients. Our patient base is varied, ranging from tangatawhenua, young families, farmers, retirees, artists and a steady influx of tourists and surfers.
The practice uses a team based approach to healthcare, with a strong emphasis on chronic care management, education and community-based care.
In 2019 the business moved to a purpose-built clinic compromising of six doctor consult rooms, four specialist rooms, a minor surgery room, a three bed emergency treatment area, a large meeting room & great team facilities.
We have ongoing in-house education sessions and have RNZCGP accreditation as a teaching practice with registrars & medical students on placements. The team have brief daily morning meetings to prioritise our day and to ensure everyone is supported in their roles.
Our team like to have fun and regularly have shared morning teas/lunches and a busy calendar of social events throughout the year.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don't seem very professional. Very hard to communicate with and felt like a child when talking about vaccinations. When asking about the reasons for certain pricing, the nurse was very aggressive and defensive and overtalked me, even though I was just trying to clarify what the price was for. They don't listen to you and take things into their own hands, as far as I can see. Not coming in again unfortunately. Worth the trip to Hamilton.

When they moved to the new building I think they may have taken on new admin worker/receptionist who completely ignored everything I said in an emergency situation. Prior to that staff were exceptional
