Woodside Trail usage as at May 2022
A community-led project has created a great community asset. We installed a trail counter just before Christmas 2021 to find out and record how many people use the trail. We thought perhaps 10,000 to 20,000 people a year would use it.
In the summer peak of 2021/22, 6000 people users were recorded in one month!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful lovely place nice walk. Just needs at be a bit more user-friendly for wheel chair access at the start of it with bars not wide enough.. but its a beautiful place

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very dull walk alongside some farm where a railway line used to be. There's a few token pieces of rails remaining and it leads you to a railway station. It's probably not a bad spot if youre a local going for a daily stroll or walking the dog. But if you're a visitor/tourist then give this a miss.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great walk on the quiet side of Greytown. You'll come across sheep and cows along the road so keep your dog leashed not like I did. Fenced dog park at trail head.
