About Rainforest Eatery
The people of Taranaki rightly expect nothing less than clean, unpolluted air. It is vital to the wellbeing of people and the health of the environment. This chapter details the air quality monitoring carried out across the region and the compliance programmes in place to maintain and improve our current levels of air quality.
Through extensive climate monitoring at sites across the region, the Council has collected data on sunshine, rain, wind and temperature, all of which helps guide decision-making by the Council and many other individuals and agencies.
We know the climate is changing at a rapid pace. Taranaki is already feeling the effects of climate change, with the potential for significant impacts in the future. Changes to air quality standards are also expected. This chapter outlines what we are doing to help Taranaki withstand the challenges that lie ahead.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pease take the Mushrooms on Toast off the Menu. I had the misfortune of ordering this dish today. There were 8 very small thin slices of mushroom on 2 pieces of very ordinary under toasted bread. Not sure what the sauce was, apart from perhaps a horrible thick gluey cheese sauce. Had I been the chef, I would be ashamed to put it on a plate, let alone serve it to a customer and then have the nerve to charge $16. The setting for the Cafe is lovely and so were the staff I dealt with. Get a decent recipe or remove it from your menu. Serving up something like that is only ruining your reputation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1st time to visit. Absolutely beautiful cafe and grounds. Food was so good, fish burger was delicious and loaded fries tasty and hot. Coffee nice and hot and instead of just having one coffee had to have 2 as was so good. Staff very friendly and accomadating . Will be back soon

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were totally disappointed with their Eggs Benedict today. The eggs were not soft, the Hollandaise sauce was extremely sour and the bacon too salty. The stars are for the coffee that was good though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Booked a table for 1pm. Seven of us for lunch. Admittedly it was busy, we ordered and waited and waited. Two were served their meals and one received their coffee. Half an hour later five were still waiting for their meal. One of us asked how much longer we were going to wait, were informed another 10 minutes. Quarter of an hour later spoke to the manager. He said they were very busy and agreed that two of us receiving our meal 45 minutes before the others was not ideal. Even had to ask where the two other coffees were. Rest of the table served at 2pm. No apologies from the management plus we had booked a table, if we had rocked on up there we would have had our food in a timely manner. Terrible service we will never frequent the cafe ever again.
