★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stopped into the Reading Cinemas on the Octogon yesterday. It was a good day for catching a movie. We were at the afternoon session so it wasn't busy and we pretty much had the cinema to ourselves. The service was excellent. We had a light lunch and the usual popcon for the movie. Very comfy seats in the premium theatre our movie screened in. The cinema and foyer areas were really clean and tidy. Overall was an awesome cinema experience!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had been looking forward to seeing Top Gun Maverick since it was announced 5yrs ago. So I purchased tickets to the premiere screen and went along. Unfortunately the sound was low and although I ran out to tell the staff nothing was done about it. I loved the film the lack of powerful sound did dull the enjoyment. Especially a film like this one! This cinema needs an upgrade so it can get better sound and also bigger screens. Especially with TVs and soundbars being so good nowadays. I will always support cinema as much as possible but not if watching it at home is a better experience...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We got in and the line for tickets was huge, but we only spent about 10 mins tops. Fast service, amazing popcorn and a super cool layout. Really miss Reading in Wellington City so this was great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ticket checkout staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Always good but lately in the last few months the popcorn tastes like the popcorn at the bottom of the box...all husky and bitsy. Maybe it needs cleaning out?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pleasant organised system and staff. As for the toilet make sure you lock the door properly. Generally a run of the mill cinema. Very comfy seating .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly staff today. Comfortable chairs. Nice temperature in the cinema for a cold day. the popcorn is really salty though! I normally finish my popcorn at other cinemas, but this one was not good. Maybe it was just mine or the batch. :)
