★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just went to watch people swimming, surfing, canoeing and to drink our take away coffee. Really great beach for little people to swim and paddle. Nice to walk along as well, with wonderful views out towards Kawau Island and Great Barrier.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great beach to walk dogs or with the friends or family - or solo. And on hot days nice for swimming! Not really any waves to worry about. Four Square and other shops a short walk away at Red Beach shops.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful clean and tidy beach, grass banks to sit on if you don't want to get sand on you. Well cleaned public toilets and outside shower. Convenient parking next to the grass bank. Lovely gem of a beach to have a picnic while the kids play.
