★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible owners, really rude and unapproachable.
I was passing through and offered $10 just to use the shower and they refused! This is the first holiday park of this type I’ve come across to not offer this service, money is money. Let’s remember these are communal showers so extra cleaning isn’t required. They didn’t have a reason other than their own stubbornness.
Absolutely disgusting response from a business trying to attract tourists and visitors to the West Coast.
Shame on you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ incredibly rude old man at reception obviously doesn’t want the trade of campers.. went down to the freedom camping area instead.. beautiful surroundings there.. interesting that there were 6 other camper vans there also … after travelling around the south island for the last 3 weeks this is the worst experience i’ve ever had… definitely wouldn’t recommend the motor camp due to such poor service ..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rude man in the office. Yelled at us and other patrons when we arrived. Demanded to see our IDs and when we showed him them he seemed to get even more unpleasant. He made what should have been an easy exchange extremely difficult. At the end we just left and went to our next location. I do not recommend staying here as long as that man is working there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First visit to this camp. We had a a lovely two night stay, and will definitely go back. Jed, the new owner/manager is a nice young man, very pleasant and helpful. The facilities were very good, and nice and clean too. Don't be put off by previous not so flattering reviews, it's a great spot, everyone I came in contact with was very friendly!
