★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I were at the Resene paint shop at the corner of Anglesea, Knox And Hood Streets, Hamilton, on Saturday 24th Feb.
We like the Resene range and have used it in every home we have lived. We have usually enjoyed the process of working with the Resene staff in the stores and have had great outcomes. However, the staff at this particular store were outright nasty!! Two staff members (yes, two!) were rude from the moment we engaged with them, did not want to know what we really wanted, and their attitudes and tenor was to shut out any conversation with us, leave alone selling us their product. We were forced into an argument and left the store utterly disappointed and angry with their treatment. I would go so far to say we were negatively stereotyped for being inquisitive about price and comparison to competition. Shocking behaviors!!
We went to another Resene store straight after this, to receive much better service, and left with many ideas for two feature walls for our new home build. The staff at this store answered our questions on price and competition very professionally and to our satisfaction.
I hope someone from Resene is reading this and takes some action, if they truly believe that Resene is a "Premium" brand that they think it is - which was the crux of the heated exchange in the first place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went to Resense store in the city on the corner of Angalsea st. Resene please hire some helpful staff. Worst experience. I was hoping to test the colour at the store and took the piece of wood but there was no tester and I was told there is no way I can test it in the store. I was there to buy stain for my full house but I had to leave with little bottles of colour which I brought to try at home. Guess what I dont want to make another trip to your shop now.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Store hours show open from 830 am on Saturday. I got there at 830 and was pointed to come round to the trades entrance. When I got there was told due to staff shortage I wasn't allowed in the store and if I tell the sales person what I'm looking for she will go get it. Why would one person not be allowed in to try choose a colour? I don't know what color I'm after hence me wanting to have a look at options. What a waste of time.
