About Rightway Driving Academy
About Us
Owner and operator Peter Hookham founded Rightway Driving Academy in 2017, after nearly four decades in the transport industry. Peter has been associated with road safety throughout his career, both in the United Kingdom and New Zealand. It is the practical skills and habitual awareness engrained early in a motorist’s training that largely influences their safety. For this reason, Peter is passionate about actively training everyone to be safe and fully aware. Peter is an accredited assessor for motorcycle training for the New Zealand Transport Agency; member of New Zealand Institute of Driver Educators; and member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists. Rightway Driving Academy comes highly recommended for instructing drivers and riders of all levels.

β β β β β Peter is a fantastic instructor. I went to Peter to get my Learners licence for a motorcycle. His one on one training meant that he could tailor each lesson to my individual needs. His patience was endless and his calm explanations were invaluable. I'm currently striving to get my Restricted license, (for a motorcycle), and again the one on one tutoring has been a Godsend. I highly recommend Rightway Driving Academy (Kapiti) for any learner or even if you want to brush up on your current skills.
