On a clear day you can actually see tip of Mount Ruapehu and also the mountain ranges of South Island (a clear winter day you will see snow capped ranges). On a windy day you can hear sea waves crashing into the cliff. It sure is tranquil. Summer evening you can enjoy gorgeous sunset. Plenty of car parking available.

Was a little chilly as expected... good breeze to clear and refresh the mind. The path down to the beach is closed due to unstable dand-dunes

J	Jo Lee on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Personally I prefers this lookout point than Mana Bay, which is just a few minutes drive further from here. Here you can get panoramic views of the surrounding area. In my humble opinion, this should be known as Seaview Lookout instead, simply because you can't see the Patae River from here. No toilet and no picnic table here.
