★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely little spot to take the kids to the beach. Away from the big crowds of the Mt and Papamoa. Apparently the fishing is pretty good, so the beach can have a few surf casting rods lined up and down the beach. Longdrop toilet was clean and tidy. Rubbish bin looked to be emptied regularly, helping to keep the beach free of rubbish. Hidden little gem really. Perhaps I shouldn't be writing this public review...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice quiet spot, out of the way. Dog friendly. However not a good swimming spot due to its remoteness and having a deep drop off. Fishing now this is pretty good. As is being able to launch a boat too. One of the best views of Whakaari (White island) as it steams.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place to stop for a lunch break if your driving past. Park up on the grass and looks straight down onto the surf and beach. Was no one around when we were there.
