★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a gem in Halswell, had a number of takeaways from here and the food is always fragrant, amazing and delicious with generous portions. Decided to dine in finally and was not disappointed, service was top notch and the guys there are friendly making for a pleasant meal. Definitely recommend and have recommended. A year on and they're still making amazing food, even their $15 Tuesday curries are well worth the money, and they make the best lamb curry, hands down.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you like watery curry, Cheese Naan with no cheese and onion bhaji that's literally balls of flour then go here. My lamb vindaloo tasted like beef also. These guys must be paying looked for 5 star reviews because it's far from 5 stars. I recommend Indian Roots in Halswell area.
Literally 100 times better than this dump. I won't be back

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered onion bhaji, chicken tikka masala and a lamb korma. Couldn't eat the lamb due to it being a watery, sugary mess - tastes like condensed milk. Chicken was poorly flavoured and tasted like tomato paste. Onion bahji were floury and tasteless. Overpriced and definitely would not recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service is great, and the food is outstanding! Ordered the banquet and there was plenty of food! A very generous entrée platter with two tasty sauces, then your choice of three curries (minimum two people ordering), and choice of 2 naan bread or roti. Took some home for lunch too! ?

They offered that in a usual glass but in a specifically designed glass would have enhanced the sensory properties..
