★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing food. We were traveling through and rang our order through it was ready perfectly on time. My lamb was delicious and tender and pork salad amazing. We have stopped here quite a few times and Brooke our young waitress said as we were about to leave "have you left toy motor bikes here before? My son's eyes lit up, she said I'll just go and check up stairs...and he was reunited with his bikes ? about 6 months later. You Rock Brooke. Excellent service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Straight to the point review, the food and steak is awesome!!! It is just the hospitality that rated it down. (FYI this is not a rant about race, gender, nationality or religion). What happened is, we got a cold shoulder reception. We are also required
to pay upfront for our order before we eat unlike the locals we observed who are not required to pay until they finish their meal, we were not even served water like the others. We are also locals just with a different ethnicity. Nothing against the place, but that is no way to treat a paying customer who is just after a good meal.

Highly recommend the Taihape one, but the Waiouru one is pretty good too.
Off road parking, and entry of it.
Convivial.
