Meet the team
Esteban & Helen Puente came to New Zealand in 2013 and have a heart to deliver great service in anything they put their name to. Esteban is a cabinet maker by trade and has been self-employed, the majority of his working life. For many years, he has worked with the RV community in the UK and more recently NZ. Listening to what customers want to achieve, Esteban will work with you, to find the right solution to meet your needs and budget. He is also a great teacher and building a team of quality technicians around him to service your RV.
Helen runs the office, she is very organised and happy to assist with the logistics of your visit to Taupo. Upon arrival, Helen or one of her team will greet you and send you into town for a complimentary coffee at one of her favorite coffee shops. Once your RV is ready for collection we will let you know.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Booked in for a service and to have our brakes repaired. Were charged 1 hour to adjust them then 1 hour to test them. By the time we got to Waiouru they were no longer working. Estaban arranged for us to have them looked at in Blenheim (we were heading south) as he said he doesn't actually take the drums off to fix. The repairer in Blenheim took the drums off and repaired properly. Took him two hours to do entire job. He said whoever had worked on them previously had over-tightened them and bent them in a way that can only happen with someone trying to loosen them off after they have been over tightened. When we contacted Estaban back he tried to tell us he does take the drums off and then again said he didn't. He told us he'd done 25 clicks for the adjustment and over 40 to the repairer in Blenheim. He kept changing his story and refused to accept any responsibility. In the end emailed to say he wouldn't give refund for that part of the job as he'd taken two hours looking into it. At no point did he tell us that he could only adjust them and that what he had done may not work. Had he have told us, we would have taken them to someone who would have done the entire job in the first place. Very disappointed and won't be back.

What a great experience. We knew the team at RV Services Taupo were knowledgeable professionals, as they’d carried out our caravan’s annual service previously. So when we asked them for advice on how best to go about selling our caravan, and they informed us they could sell it on our behalf, it gave us food for thought. We considered trying to sell it ourselves, but the prospect of all the tyre-kickers, detailed tech questions we may not have answers to, and the overall responsibility of selling a quality caravan on, was a little daunting.
Deciding to sell our Dethleff caravan through RV Services Taupo turned out to be a genius move. They made sure the caravan was in tiptop condition (which it was), detailed it beautifully, had the answers to every buyer’s question, and a list of interested parties who they knew were already after a quality caravan. We got a price we were pleased with, with none of the worry or hassle we’d been dreading. And, the new owners have a beautiful caravan, at a good price, with the reassurance it’s been fully serviced, and is in excellent condition, because it’s been sold to them by experts on all things Dethleff caravans.
Final points:
1) Dethleff caravans are robust, stunningly appointed, watertight and have the most amazing heating system - they are worth every penny they cost.
2) I’d definitely feel confident about selling or buying a caravan through RV Services Taupo again. They were a real pleasure to deal with, and I’d like to thank them very much for their excellent service… they are aptly named!

At the time I called, while on route to Auckland from Wellington they were scheduled to complete the fit out of their new premises, but dropped everything for two days to complete the work on my vehicle.
I was so impressed that I will travel from Auckland to Taupo for all my RV requirements.
