β β β β β I had the goba chips and beef udon noodle soup. Beautiful Japanese food and service for a good price. I highly recommend.

β β β β β I had a really tasty salmon teriyaki dish. The staff were very friendly and the service was prompt.
It was pretty cold though, and we were seated outside as there were no tables left that weren't reserved inside. The staff did put the heater on for us, but the area wasn't warm enough to be comfortable. Our fault for not booking ahead of time, but I think if the restaurant is to keep an outdoor dining section, it would be worth making it a bit cosier. Perhaps some screens / barriers to block the drafts and keep the heat in.

β β β β β The scrampi set: miso soup- is super fresh and sweet, it has the prawn head, prawn leg, and some veggies in the soup; the scrampi is super nice and fresh, definitely have some juice from the lemon with it! YUM!
The crunchiness of the soft shell crab is just right. It isn't being fried too much or less, and it is so nice to have it with the sauce that is given. The fresh veggies balance out the strong taste. Highly recommend Sakimoto!

β β β β β Excellent choice for japanese cuisine. Very interesting choice and good quality food. On our list to visit again for sure. Love the tuna sashimi and the varieties of sakes to choose from.

β β β β β Had a great birthday dinner there.
Sashimi boat was amazing. There were many different kinds of sashimi fish and the presentation was very detailed. Food was great. Even received a complimentary birthday crème brûlée.

β β β β β Great vegan and gluten free options, just ask what is vegan on the vegetarian menu, not everything is labelled. Really good food, the oyster mushroom tempura was absolutely incredible, meaty and soft on the inside and crispy on the outside - sooo good. ?
However the timings our meals came out in were terrible! One meal was served in 10 minutes, the next after 20 minutes, then 35 minutes, and one 40 minutes later. I had finished my large bento box before a much simpler tofu meal had even arrived. Very awkward to watch each person eat and have to be at the restaurant for way longer than we wanted to be. So donβt go here if youβre in a rush! Iβd love to return but probably wonβt due to how long the meals take. 3.5/5
