β β β β β I usually go here after sending my children at school.
This shop is really good, but not all the staff.
I thought the lady at the counter have a bad day or something because she doesn't look nice.
But everytime I go here, I tried to observe.
1 day I have greeted her, she responded not so nice, like she raise her eyebrow. I just ignored it.
And then, I went there again she greeted every white people with a huge smile. I thought they were her friends or usual customer but they are not.
And so everytime I pay she would take a deep breath and a smirk. She didn't do that on others.
Maybe she's lacking love from her family.
I'm hoping that she lives well so she could enjoy life.

β β β β β I could not understand why they had a display in the middle of the shop and nothing on it was for sale. I could have put my name on a list???. I do not live in the area. They lost a sale.
$595.00 for a dinner set that has been donated is outrageous.
Some things could have been cheaper and they would sold.
I have been to some lovely family shops. Ferry rd, hills rd, papanui.
I will not be going back to the Hornby shop.

β β β β β Not many books. But I found very good shoe and a decent wee hugging pillow. You can never tell the kind of treasure to be found in places like these. What will be yours, mine strike you in the face when I visited them. You might find yours too. Anyway, we can all help them to help others. Cheers.

β β β β β In these trying times it is lovely to feel so welcome, there is so much positive energy and if you want something to buy it is very reasonably priced .

β β β β β Generally I enjoy shopping at sallies, but this one is too expensive. $20 for a skirt that's from h&m.. no thanks. Most things are very overpriced for what they are. Yes they are a charity, but this shop is greedy.
