Rooms always clean and well maintained. We absolutely LOVE staying here and will continue to as much as possible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a beautiful and friendly pair of owners. Set us up in the most perfect unit. Very conscious about privacy. Very helpful and informative. A beautifully placed lodge with gorgeous settings and modern and clean amenities. We had ample blankets, kids friendly. Kids could not get enough of beach at the front door, a slide and a swing. Really hoping to make this a family annual. Cannot rave about San Marino Lodge enough!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We are currently staying at San Marino and enjoying the last of the summer sun.
Check in was easy, the owners are friendly and at this time of year it's lovely and quiet.
It's simple, old school, seaside accommodation. Nothing flash or fancy but it's clean, comfortable, has everything you need and an absolutely wonderful location only metres from the water.
Safe swimming beach. Excellent for families with very small children.
Dog friendly.
Last night we watched the most spectacular sunset from the beach in front of our room and had dinner overlooking the water at the picnic tables.
There is a convenience store a 2 minute drive away (or a 15-20 romantic walk along the shore) that's sells pretty much everything from milk to wine - including hot chicken and chips.
Mangonui village is just over the hill and Doubtless bay around the corner.
Today our kids hired the paddle board and one of the kayaks and spent the afternoon exploring the bay, snorkeling and playing in the safe waters of Coopers Beach.
Tonight we'll get dinner from the Thai Place in Mangonui and bring it back. Why eat in a dining room when there are 5 star views at the lawn of the San Marino!?
We check out tomorrow and I'm regretting not booking extra nights. Luckily we live only an hour away so we'll be coming back again.
This place is fabulous for families and reasonably priced so you won't break the bank for a quick stay-cation.
A thoroughly enjoyable, really relaxing break in a beautiful spot. Highly recommended!
Edited to add: Most comfortable bed I have had in an accommodation for a long time! As someone with back issues this is a HUGE relief.
