★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed at the Mangonui waterfront apartsment for the frist time and were very happy with our two adjoining units. The staff and views were outstanding. I did not know this was such a beautiful area with beaches, history, resturants right there. So close to 90 mile beach and Cape Reinga. It made a good base from which to explore the area. I think I could live in far northland after experiencing Mangonui

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a little slice of heaven. If you get the opportunity to stay in this quaint motel, do it! From the themed rooms that overlook the bay through to the wonderful team that run this motel, we had a brilliant stay here and have recommended it to all of our family and friends.
The rooms are delightful, with different Maori names depending on the room type you are staying in. The building are old and so well appointed, right down to the beautiful bathrooms and delightful outdoor seating.
The only downside we had was leaving, as we didn't want to go!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome location, close to everything around. We stayed at the Rima 2 bedroom apartment. Really nice view. The apartment had electric blankets on each bed and a space heater for the living room which really came in handy. Good base to explore the rest of Mangonui and the Far North.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely welcoming place to stay for a relaxing break in Northland. An excellent base for day excursions to other areas of Northland. Perfect location in Mangonui for restaurants, shopping and walks. Our room was huge which felt luxurious and the character of the old buildings adds to the charm. Exceptional value for money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a really relaxing break staying at the Mangonui Apartments. Fantastic location, overlooking the harbour, and so close to the restaurants and shops. We stayed in Tahi which is right on the waterfront and was super spacious and very well equipped, particularly the kitchen, which meant we were able to prepare many meals ourselves. No problem with noise from the nearby restaurants. Lovely character property and a superb view. Daniel and his team were very friendly and made us feel very welcome.
