We Deal in Bio-dynamic, lunar seeded, once a year cropped organic Raw food ingredients. Our product has been GMO free, Yielded on a nutrient rich soil where the fertilisers used are also organic. As we value what we provide our customers, we keep searching for farmers who produce ethically right food products.
One key difference between other supermarkets and Shahjis is that we have a communication channel set with the farms where the products have been yielded. That provides us with an intricate knowledge of the product we sell. For example, Organic cashew we sell has almost 35%of iron, which is almost 12% more than the organic cashew sold elsewhere in New Zealand. Because of the extensive experience of serving customers for the last 12 years, we have gathered knowledge from modern science to ancient ayurveda. The ashwagandha we sell, is sold with a detailed data of when to take this supplement tailored for the individual who is buying it.

β β β β β I moved away from this area, so I've been missing this store massively. I'd often come on my daily walk. The banter with the family who run the store is amazing. I strongly recommend asking for a chai when you go there. It is so creamy and filled with spice and aroma. Depending on the day or the general mood/wellbeing your in, they sometimes throw in a few different spices. Truly a welcome thing during a cold day. I'll definitely be coming back when lockdown is over.

Jignesh of Shahji's is a fountain of knowledge and when you are there, try their Indian Chai Latte. They also stock one of the widest ranges of Indian Spices in Auckland.

β β β β β Go here for the best chai in town! Super friendly, down to earth customer service. I was impressed with product knowledge and any queries I had about health supplements were answered. Money well spent and now I know where to come for my health foods/ supplements. If you're looking to cook authentic Indian recipes then this is the place to come to get your ingredients. They apparently do Indian cooking classes as well. After you shop here, I recommend ordering a fresh chai tea and sitting outside in their courtyard. Great people, great place!
