We hired a cockroach infested van from this company and they were completely unsympathetic and didn't give us the cleaning fee or the booking fee back when we cleaned out the van ourselves, not only that the holiday was completely Rubin's and cut short so they could of given us back at least half of the booking fee. Don't use this company if you don't want get fu**ed over.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great bunch of people providing awesome customer service. Have been using them over the past couple of years, no trouble. They were very responsive when needed. Highly recommended if you want to travel around New Zealand and connect with local people renting out their own motor-home in the process.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hired a cockroach infested van from this company, they were unsympathetic and retained the cleaning and booking fee from our refund and the owner even though we were on our hands and knees spraying the van with cockroach spray ourselves. Our trip was cut short and we travelled 400+k to return the van from our own holiday time and they had the audacity to tell us that we didn't fully refuel it, despite using at least $50 in gas to return it. Please steer clear of this company and rent from a reputable source.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Would not recommend. We had multiple issues with ShareaCamper. Much easier to just hire from a standard camper hire (and probably cheaper!). Shareacamper charges per calendar day so you end up paying for an extra day, the camper was advertised as a two person camper but only had a single bed in it, we had to use hotels and shareacamper did not refund. The bond has been out of my account for more than a week since the rental was returned. Still waiting although I’ve been told it’s on it’s way...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shareacamper has a great service team that makes sure your booking and holidays run smoothly. Its a great way to find a camper that is not a standard hire company camper, but more of a home away from home. A motorhome holiday is one you will remember forever, as we have. Thanks guys

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a fabulous company! We had been put off by huge prices to hire a camper through the normal channels, but had ShareaCamper strongly recommended by friends. Too easy!! Found the perfect camper at half the price previously quoted. Share a Camper provided the platform, ensured we had all the information to make a decision, gave details of van and owner, and gave tips and reminders before, during, and after our trip. Prompt communication, and refund of bond. Friendly, helpful, sincere people. A great experience all round, and will be using again within the year! Thanks so much :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a bad experience with this site, hired a campervan 6 months ago but last minute before the trip the private owner vehicle broke down and they tried to find a replacement but that also took a couple of days to confirm that it was not available. So this is the risk you take for going to private and the full refund does not include the credit card which is still significant, and refund takes at least a week so need additional fund to look for another alternative, so would not come back if peace of mind is what you looking for.
