About Silhouette Fitness Taupo
"I have an ongoing problem in my lower spine where there is very little cushioning between my lower vertebrae. I have been to many chiropractors, physios and osteopaths who have all recommended I do workouts to keep good core strength and to maintain good back health to minimise pain.
Because of this I have been a full-time member at silhouette fitness for around 5 years. However, before Christmas I over-extended myself and injured it again. After several acupuncture sessions with my physio, I was back to the gym, but he did recommend that I get straight back to it, as I learnt such a thing as muscle memory, where if I did not work at it soon, then the muscles can go back to that old injury spot and give me more grief.
That’s when I went to see Jude and discussed what I could do to work at this. She was great at explaining how important it is to hold my core when exercising or just in any day to day lifting. From there she set up a plan and a program for me which I do now in conjunction with her classes, where she really targeted my problem areas to strengthen them. It is now up to me to maintain that and look after myself.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I highly recommend Silhouette Fitness, before starting this gym I had a meet and greet with Jude, despite being busy she had the time to show me around and explain exactly what I wanted to know. this made me feel very comfortable from the get go. So I joined ? After all first impressions count! I had an induction with one of the trainers and a plan made by another which was instructed by a professional, highly knowledgeable Leanna Le. She had read my notes from my induction and taken all into consideration she came up with a plan that work personally for me. She was very helpful and reassured me when doing the workouts after she showed me if I was doing them correctly and if not she would guide me in the right direction. This made me comfortable and confident to then go off and do these on my own. The classes are fun, upbeat and most of all NOT intimidating at all. The Class instructors are very friendly and helpful, not only them but the attendees too, which makes it even more of a lovely place to be and train. So thank you Silhouette ?
