★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Frozen vegetables in a watered down butter chicken sauce for the vege curry. Literally about 3 table spoons of frozen mix from the bag. Unfortunately these guys know nothing about value for money and ripped us off. I cant comment on the meat dishes but I'm wondering how long a takeaway joint can last serving up this. Oh and they also ran out of gas this evening ?

I have tried many better and authentic indian food around the new zealand, this restaurant serve the curry not thick enough and quite watery, the Tandoori chicken is quite good. Given 4 star rating just because not gonna lower the rating of the restaurant. If you want to try the authentic Indian restaurant, definitely not in this place. ?

Mains were really tasty.
Unfortunately, our entrees (which were on the order slip) were never served. Not a major, as we enjoyed the meal.
We felt the medium and hot meals were not too spicy. They shouldn't need to change this, but if you like a hot curry, you may want to up a level.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really delicious food. But if you like spicy food definitely order your curries Indian-hot because I ordered kiwi-hot and it really wasn’t very spicy. Naan was lovely and thin and buttery. There was a long wait on food but they were very very busy and the chef who came out with the meals was exceptionally personable. We would definitely come back next time we are in Motueka!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Being a foodie myself and always on the lookout for a true and authentic indian restaurant in New zealand. I had no idea I would find one in this small town on my way to able Tasman.
We have a restaurant back in wellington with the same name and the same street name as well !!. But this one is just outstanding. Lovely food, very good balance of spices and a very warm host Sabim. Absolutely loved the vibe, the food and the chat. An absolute must stop if u are in lookout for an authentic indian food experience on ur way to the beautiful beaches and walks in able tasman.
PS: we were hungry and everything was so good, forgot to take pics.
