The Smoking Barrel has the best I have ever tasted. It’s worth the drive to this part of New Zealand just to eat here. You have not fully lived until you do so!

The donuts are pretty good ? but they aren't cheap.

B	Blake Wills on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Here's the story. We completed the Ngarua Caves Tour at the top of the Takaka Hill and had mentioned we were to have dinner. The tour guide had suggested The Smoking Barrel and we decided to feast there. Unbeknownst to us the tour guide was also a server there.... Either way the food was amazing. Children meals were ample for the money exchanged. The main courses were also delicious. Would recommend and will attend again.
