★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My child is 9 so she’s been to 4 different after school care facilities including a skids in Wellington when she was 5. First of all the Brydie person harassed me for payment and I said hang in there Work and income are paying it my case manager is on holiday she’s like “oh they won’t pay it so you need to by Friday” I get a email every like 3days harassing me for payment and I work very hard but get minimum wage I’m not full of mega bucks like most families around here and skids know I’m on low income is bloody inconsiderate that they hound you for payment ASAP child care is very expensive when your on minimum wage...
Secondly I booked my daughter in one holiday program and not anywhere did it say I had to provide food so me and another mom didn’t pack food because I know all the other holiday programs provide food for the kids you pay like $50 or more for one day. My daughter was there 8am to 5pm and all the gave her and another girl was a sandwich I was completely outraged when I heard they starved her and another child and then have the right to harass me for $45 and all they did was watch a movie and the care.
Last of all the staff... me and a few parents I’ve met, the children said the staff are mean to them and that’s including my child they all say its very boring there also parents pay a lot of money so this centre needs to up their attertude and their game. I don’t really want my child back there and she now refuses to go as her own choice from the experiences she’s had. I don’t recommend this facility.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have a nephew who attends SKIDS in Buckland Beach site. Staff cares a lot to their children making sure all children eat their afternoon tea. One thing I observed, Site is clean and orderly. All of their activities were posted on their walls so parents were updated with their weekly programmes. Keep it up SKIDS! Excellent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A big thank you to the staff at Bucklands Beach SKIDS for the work they do in making sure that my grandchilden are happy and content. The grand kids are always very upbeat and are full of tales and excitement. They seem to have always thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon. The staff are always approachable and friendly, as is Wayne (the owner) and I am always amazed at his capability to negotiate through all the different personalities of the children that he deals with. Wayne has a gift for dealing with the kids at their level which I feel is very important.
