I enquired about seeing someone for my acne last year and they quoted me for $250 for the initial consultation and $149 for appointments thereafter (with a doctor not a dermatologist).
After my second visit they charged me $240.
I understand that the prices of services have increased but I don’t think it’s fair to increase the price halfway through treatment. Especially with no warning or explanation.
I asked why there was a price increase and they couldn’t give me a reason. They honoured the $149 the second time but said it will be $240 from now on.
Getting through to them is also difficult. I’ve called them a few times with no answer. Once I went through to their call centre where the lady told me my app had been cancelled (I wasn’t informed of this) and that there wouldn’t be another app for a couple of months. The clinic got back to me and said there was so I’m not sure where the contact centre were getting their info from.
Overall I’m not having a good experience with Skin Institute Albany and I wish I had gone somewhere else instead!
