★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a procedure done at The Skin Institute Queenstown by the owner, Dr Hans Raetz, close to 3 years ago. The procedure was arranged via Queenstown Regenerative Medicine. It was a lipo harvest to obtain a fat sample from which to extract stem cells for a treatment for my knee injury. I was concerned about risk of dents because I am a thin person. During the consent process/consultation just prior to the procedure, the doctor assured me emphatically that there was no risk of visible changes because the amount being harvested was so small. I have been left with hollows and contour deformity that requires reconstructive surgery by a plastic surgeon. In addition to not informing me of risks, he also harvested fat from outside of the area I had consented too. I was absolutely shocked by the result. He states that he did discuss the risk of hollows with me, which is absolutely not true. He also refused to acknowledge that fat was removed from the wrong area. I realise this is not a procedure that is usually offered at the Skin Institute, but I would still procede here with caution. If you are considering a procedure that a plastic surgeon would have more training for, then please seek advice of a plastic surgeon before going ahead with anything. Do not buy into overconfidence, brushing off of concerns, and false reassurance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very bad experience from there whole team, 32 years old was given laser as best option, thought I needed it. Wasnt given all options. Un trained nurse unsupervised used c02 laser without treatment map and went in areas where she thought she should go and done more than 2 passes around cheeks and mouth. Once nurse clicked I didnt know what sort of laser she was using she panicked and tricked me into signing consent form after procedure. I never went back apart from with major concerns regarding why my skin is worse and the nightmare unfolded from there.... they are a pack of wolves!!! I would not put me care in there hands and if things go wrong they will lie blame anyone they can to escape any wrongdoings. Go to a dermatologist and pay the big bucks to them or go to caci clinic up the road. Horrible experience and outcome I would not wish on my worst enemy. If you want ripped off and needing to spend thousands more on specialists to try fix there stuff up, sure go ahead! Be warned!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've got a mole on my face removed with Dr Meghan, and I expected a little temporary scar for a bit as I got about 8 little stitches, to realize today (3 weeks after removal) that I've got no scar at all!! So thank you so much for doing such a great job Meghan!!! I'm really happy with the results!!!

Amy was also brilliant, and went above and beyond to provide great service and make sure my treatment for rosacea went well. As well as making sure I had my after care sorted. The front desk staff are also lovely. SI carries a very good range of skin care at a variety of price points.
